An unfamiliar word need not stop every sentence. The remaining letters and surrounding words may give you clues to the message. Blur makes that challenge visible by covering selected letters within a short section of text, leaving useful clues visible.
Read the chunk and follow the sentence through the gaps. You control when to move forward with Next, and you can move back when you need to. On a pointer device, hovering can uncover a letter. Reveal lets you check the full chunk before continuing. Checking is useful feedback when a word or the meaning is uncertain.
The first chunk begins gently. The masking challenge changes with your position in the passage, and the intensity setting lets you adjust it. Each section stays in place until you choose to continue. Use the remaining text and context, then use Reveal to compare your interpretation with the complete text.
The exercise is designed to challenge recognition of incomplete words, attention to the sentence and awareness of when you need help. Its everyday aim is to stay with an argument through difficult wording while knowing when to check. The final questions ask whether you kept the meaning, not just filled the gaps.
